Spiritual Emphasis Week
Spiritual Emphasis Week is an annual observance of the Eastern North Carolina Episcopal District, set aside for focused prayer, spiritual reflection, and leadership development. This sacred week invites clergy and laity to gather daily for early morning worship and study, creating space to deepen faith, strengthen accountability, and grow in Christ-centered leadership.
Each year, participants engage in intentional teaching and discussion designed to nurture spiritual discipline, integrity, and faithful service. Through shared learning and collective prayer, Spiritual Emphasis Week equips the District to lead with wisdom, humility, and purpose.

Winter Convocation
The Winter Convocation & Ordination is an annual gathering, bringing together clergy, laity, and leaders for a powerful time of worship, learning, fellowship, and consecration. This sacred convening marks a season of spiritual renewal and preparation, highlighted by inspired preaching, meaningful teaching, and the holy act of ordination.
Each year, Winter Convocation provides space for reflection, celebration, and alignment as we seek God’s direction for our District’s present work and future vision. It is a time to be strengthened in faith, equipped for service, and united in purpose as we move forward together.
Leadership Training Institute (LTI)
The Leadership Training Institute (LTI) is an annual educational experience of the Eastern North Carolina Episcopal District designed to equip clergy and laity for effective, informed, and faithful leadership. LTI provides structured instruction, practical tools, and spiritual insight to support leaders at every level of ministry and service.
Through dynamic teaching, interactive learning, and intentional development, participants gain knowledge that strengthens governance, enhances ministry effectiveness, and promotes spiritual and organizational excellence. LTI serves as a vital space for growth, preparation, and empowerment as leaders are trained to serve with competence, integrity, and vision.
Annual Conferences
The Annual Conferences of the Eastern North Carolina Episcopal District, brings together clergy and laity for worship, evaluation, and decision-making. This serves as a time to reflect on the work of the Church, discern God’s direction, and conduct the business necessary to strengthen ministry across the District.
During the Annual Conference, leadership appointments are prayerfully considered to ensure each congregation is equipped with leaders whose gifts and calling align with the unique needs of their communities. The conference also provides space to celebrate and recognize the faithful service, accomplishments, and impact of clergy and laity throughout the conference year.
